Organization

Altesse has more than 5,000 m² of production space and almost 2,000 m² of warehouse in Fürstenfeld (Styria) in Austria. Our production facility is divided into four areas. The rolling filter production, the cigarette filter tube production, the warehouse and logistics area and the administration.

Our approximately 180 employees have a high level of expertise. After a successful training phase, they are deployed according to their training and skills. Through ongoing training and the use of a wide range of modern production facilities, we offer an exciting and varied working environment and achieve maximum flexibility for the company.

In addition to the high level of competence of our employees, the constant striving and willingness to optimise and modernise our machinery and the associated adaptation of processes, ensure the long-term success of our company.

Furthermore, communication and close cooperation within the organisation enable us to react flexibly and quickly to adapted general conditions, customer wishes or market requirements.

Documented and controlled processes, monitored environmental conditions throughout production, as well as in the warehouse, are the basis for our daily work. HACCP concepts have been implemented to maintain our high hygiene standards. Our workflows and processes are checked and monitored through regular audits.

Compliance with worker protection and safety standards is very important in the EU. Critical areas of operational safety, fire protection and labour regulations must be observed. Altesse takes these very seriously for the benefit of its employees and has modern and efficient systems.

Altesse continuously strives to improve its ecological assessment. By using highly efficient equipment, optimised processes and products, it has been possible to significantly reduce energy requirements, energy costs and the impact on the environment.

Actively acting to conserve resources and protect the environment is now considered a key factor for future growth in the industry. Altesse also sets high standards in this area and strives for continuous improvements.
In addition to a strict recycling concept, procedures to reduce CO2 emissions have also been implemented. The use of intermodal solutions (rail instead of road) for our external logistics enables significant improvements.

Software

We use the following production management systems:

ERP

Enterprise Resource Planning - Integrated management software package that manages and coordinates all resources, information and functions of our activity, on our site and in the Republic Group companies. Its purpose is to facilitate the flow of information between all of our departments: finance, manufacturing, sales, and the rest.

MRP

Material Requirements Planning - This planning system determines the needs and elements from finished product requests and current supply.
Our MRP system has 3 goals
To ensure we have enough raw materials for production and finish products for shipment to customers
To optimize our inventory in order to maintain an optimal stock level
To manage the industrial activity plan, delivery and purchase schedules

SWb

Scheduling Workbench - Linked to the ERP, this software is used for finite capacity planning.

CMMS

We maintain our machines using a specific software, accessible by the technician teams.
Our computerized maintenance management system, such as TPM (Total Productive Maintenance), allows us to increase our machines' synthetic yield rates.

LOGISTICS

In our warehouse, we implement the latest methods and practices

FIFO

(First In, First Out) stock management, meaning that what goes in first, is processed first. All raw materials and finished products have their given placement, automatically assigned by the software. We log the barcode which identifies each product's placement as well as its main characteristics.

The forklifts

are operated electronically in the warehouse. Automated driving makes it possible to be faster, prevent errors, and have a higher product density.
